OK, looking for some advice, installed new calipers, booster and master cylinder, the only thing left is prop valve. Brakes hold firm without engine running, with engine running ...as I rev it in park, the brake pedal slowly goes down... What is happening... My gut says booster or vacuum problem, but It was replaced ? hint- I replaced booster about a year ago, but never finished the brake work (I relocated and could'nt get to it).
It is suppose to do that. If the peddle does not get softer when you start the engine the booster is bad. If it goes all the way to the floor then you have a leak or air in the mc or brake lines/calipers.
Thanks for your input, I have bled about 2 quarts of brake fluid through the system and no external leaks, thats whats throwing me a curve. And as I rev the engine the pedal will slowly go to the floor, have'nt tried to drive yet, but want to be sure I can stop?? And I bled it from all 6 bleeders until I made sure no air in lines.
Don't get insulted now but, Did you bench bleed and prime the master cyl. before installing. It happens a lot!
