C3 right lower dash pad question

C3 right lower dash pad question
I bought a new lower right dash pad from Corvette America and the new and old pad has a clip on the lower left inside corner. My question is "What does that clip attach to?"

Hi LVV,
Theres a small extension on the forward side of the shifter console. It's held in place by one screw.
That extension has a 'tab' on it's top that slips into that clip and helps hold the extension in place.
