just tuned up the 71BB and went for a lively spin today. i've had it for 8 years and maybe put 500 miles a year on it. put new shocks on it when i bought it but i noticed today on bumps it bounced unevenly. is it an indication for new springs front and/or rear, both original, or do you guys have some other idea. rather unsettling at 100mph
Could be KYB Gas A Just if white. Do you have a composite or steel spring. Used KYB Gas A Just with my composite spring and the rear was very bouncy. Went with Bilsteins and all was good.
Check to see you have 2 of the same model # shocks in front and back.
As an old parts man for GM it wouldn't be the first time I heard of the wrong part being boxed. I went with Bisteins last January, Night n Day difference

Could be only one bad shock. That'll make it feel a bit squirrely.
By the by, Monroe shocks are generally yellow.
A car that sits in one place for a long time might have a flat spot in one or more tires. It should go away with a few more miles. What is the frequency of the bounce?

just that when i hit a bump or uneveness in the road it will not just bounce up and down like normal. i'll check the shocks and the rear leaf spring as it is the original one on it.
