OFF TOPIC: Maple Leaf Fans
Just wanted to express my condolences to you Leaf fans out there. Wish it could have been the Leafs in the finals. Seems only proper for an original 6 team to be there. Somehow Calolina in the Cup Finals just doesn't fit. It's kinda like Honda in the finals for Top Fuel honors!! :eek: :eek:

The Canes definately are a shocker. Too bad I didnt put some $ on them to make it this far. I bet the odds had to be at least 200 to 1!

Thanks....crying in my beer yet again!! Oh well.....reality check...it's just a hockey game!! I'm still on a "high" from the Olympics, so I can accept this. Carolina was the better, stronger team and is fully deserving of the win. Will be a great final to watch!!

I hope I am not crying with all you guys tonight. The Wings had their chances and didn't get it done, so now it is do or die. I guess that's what it's all about. If noting else, we have been treated to some great hockey this year and I hope it continues with or without the Wings.

yeah thanks. i am from the west coast, so i am suppose to hate the Leafs, but it does suck that they are finished. Carolina??? WTF. give them credit.

You guys would not believe the fever down here in Raleighwood. Folks are really supporting the Hurricanes. I've been to a few games, and am starting to acquire a taste for the sport. Lots o' Southern Boys are catching the hockey bug.

I just moved here a year ago from St. Louis, so Im a Blues fan, which means Im a Cujo fan, so Im upset too. Its kinda cool seeing the team from the area I moved to going to the Finals, but your right, it dont seem right! To me this area does'nt fit the bill as a "hockey town" so as much as the team worked for it and I guess rightly deserve it, Id have rather seen a team whose town is more dedicated to them. I remember at the beginning of the season seeing half empty stadiums at their games, its too easy to jump on the bandwagon now.
