Default Tuff Luck!

So I start driving the `Vert with my new brakes and was loving it. I had previously drained the radiator and added a cleaner that is to be run for about 10 hours of driving. After my test drives with new brakes and some previous driving, it was time to flush. That stuff seems to work well as I got a lot of sediment out of the system. I kept flushing, and it kept coming out. I am now running distilled H20 with water wetter and a little anti-freeze. Test drive shows a good temp reading. Then I loose the power steering. That damn pressure hose was sliced by the control arm-again-after I had power washed the underside. I got a new hose, but of a different design; the hard line to the pump was bent different and I was not sure it would work, but I bought it anyway. After some cajoling, it clears much better that the other design. Go for another spin and I loose my clutch pedal! I hobble home safely in third gear, thank the Lord. After trying to find out what happened, the pedal arm shearded the retaining pin clean! WTF? I had to do some serious contortions to get a washer (missing?) and a cotter pin in place. And on the road again, in defiance of the bubba gods...And all of this over the weekend! I did`nt even get mad! :D

Sometimes you just gotta :) and deal with it. When I sent my car into the back of my garage, I was strangely calm and not very upset. I just felt it could have been much, much worse. Glad to hear you were able to fix all those little problems and get your ride going without down time.

I don`t want to wake up to puppies playing the banjo on my porch :jester . Those smiling faces make working on cars secondary. Now I`v got to go clean the hair off my tools  .

Wightnite:
It was either Prestone or Zerex cleaner, not the flush stuff. I used the flush after I had run the car for some time. I`m not sure how effective the flush is, but the cleaner sure worked. I`ll use it again next winter because I know there is more goo to come out, just a feeling I have.

Oh say it ain`t so! :D

One thing I noticed from having one dog as opposed to two is that somehow they manage to produce 3 times everything: three times the crap, three times the hair, three times the vet bills..... How does that happen!
