Are you running HEI Ignition? If so, what is the power source, should be off the fuse box. check for connectivity. Happened to me. I replaced dist, rotor, cap, coil, module. And lastly looked to see the hot wire was loose, may have my kicked by my foot.

The coil, rotor, ect have nothing to do with the starter turning. If you use a screwdriver to short across the solenoid large battery terminal to the S terminal, and it cranks - your ground is working. Your battery cable to the starter is working. The starter is working. What you are bypassing, is the start circuit - key switch, neutral safety or clutch switch, wiring ect. That said you could still have a bad battery or cables that reduce the voltage going to the solenoid by the time it runs through all of the start circuit. It can be a combination of things, weak solenoid + bad connections ect. Go back through the thread, get a volt meter, start at the battery and work forward to you find the problem. It helps if you have a wire diagram.
