Default Portable 12 volt power source

Anyone have one of those portable 12V jumpstarters I am seeing advertised at Sears and other places? Do they work? They seem like a handy item to have in the garage.

My freind has one to jumpstart his boat. It has never failed him. I'm gonna get one for myself.

Yep, they work great I carry one in the daily driver and keep on in the garage.
I even wired a power inverter to one for 110 volts.
Well worth the money

Very happy with mine. Prices are finally down, you can get a nice size one at Wally World for about $40.

I just bought one yesterday. Obviously haven't had the need to use it yet, but I thought it would be a good idea to get one considering how often batteries go dead around here in the winter. :D
