Hey Guys, i have a 1980. The frame has dents from someone trying to jack up the car in the wrong spot.
Any help on how to fix this?
The mods will probably move this to the C3 section. It will be helpful if you post pics so those familiar with C3 frames can better comment on repairs.
I assume you mean a dented front crossmember. There is a tool you can purchase to get some of the crossmember dents out. It's an expensive tool. Can you live with what you have?
If the frame is actually dented, you might have bigger issues.
From: Who says "Nothing is impossible" ? I've been doing nothing for years.
My frame is rock solid, I can't really jack up the front or back without the whole side coming up. That said the use of a jack with a small surface area that contacts the frame can put a small dent in it. I use pads on my jacks. If in fact that's where the OP's dents are.
Another one is jacking it up buy some part of the floor underside area instead of the frame, I have seen some brain surgeons dent different areas by doing that
