72/ tach slow to react and seems to be off 1500 to 2000 rpm, at idle showing 500-550, earlier the same day at idle 800-850 normal, at 70 should be around 3500+ m22 and 4.10s. I have checked the dizzy wire under the point plate and grounds to the vacuum advance base screw seams to be OK, tight and corrosion free, could the tach filter be bad ? I would like to replace it first before possibly having to rip in to the dash and send out for repair, any suggestions and where can i find a tach filter ? and will any year tach filter do the same or be the same THANKS for any and all advise, the more the merrier, I like lots of opinions helps me and others learn more every day. .......Garry
