Default Another carb question!

I wonder if there is any major difference between the Holley 3310 and
Holley 80508. The only difference that I know of is the electric choke on the 80508. I recently ordered a PROFORM main body for my carb. I just checked the PROFORM Homepage and they only mention that the main body only fits the 3310. My carb is the 80508 and I start worrying if the new main body will fit my carb....

Does anybody here know about any additional differences that would make it difficult or impossible to install the new main body?

Thanks in advance

Olivier

P.S. Both carbs look identical (exept the electric choke). They even use the same fuel line....

The 80508 is a 4160 so I'm sure it will work

I hope that you are right... I wonder why PROFORM didn't just specify that the main body will fit a 4160 Holley and not specificly a 3310???

Thanks

You can convert the 4160 to 4150 (sec jets instead of metering block) with a block replacement. I have seen them in summit. But at that point you might consider just getting a whole new carb. I have a 4150 600 with vac sec and 750 dp. I am just going to run the 600 on my 350 but am going to try both on the 383 when I get it back running. I am curious to see the power/torq curves between the two. I have a feeling the 600 will work better for my cruising habits but the 750 would be way better for all out horse. You can never have too many extra parts laying around right? :jester
