I have a 268EX comp cam in my 1979 corvette L-82 automatic. My brakes a very week, the pedal get very hard , when press. I had the vacuum system checked and they are telling me I am pulling about 10 " of vacuum the cam can be the cause, it isn't producing enough vacuum..... This cam has been in my Vette for at least 7 years, what do you guys think the problem is?

Thanks

If it just started happening... the booster is going south. I'm assuming it didn't start happening 7 years ago.

Make sure, of course, that there aren't any other vacuum leaks in the system that could be disrupting the booster.

If the brake booster has a leak, she bleeds off the vacuum, like a vacuum leak. Fix the leak, and the engine, she will produce more vacuum! C'est bon!!!

Keep the shiny side up!
