Default Help Please! heater hose routing

Can someone send or post a picture how the heater hose is to be routed from water pump to expansion tank and to the heater core?

Mine was bypassed and not even hooked up, I installed a new core.

edit: BTW, this is small block without A/C and manual transmission.\\

Thanks

Hi stl,
I believe in 71:
The small hose runs directly from the intake manifold nipple to the lower 'pipe' on the heater core.
The large hose runs from the water pump nipple to the surge tank nipple facing the front of the car and then from the rear facing nipple on the surge tank to the upper 'pipe' on the heater core.
Originally all the clamps used were of the 'tower' type.
There are 2 large clips that both of the hoses pass through. One on the inner fender apron (before the surge tank) and one on the heater box (right before the heater core connections.
You can't mix them up because of the hose size difference. 5/8" and 3/4"
Hope this helps!
Regards,
Alan
