I guess that this needs to be fabricated and would like to have duals connect to collectors and then thru cross member to an x-pipe to pipes to back end. Any help is appreciated and could maybe recommend a shop in central N.J.
Thank You All,

1) Fitting 74 and prior dual exhaust kits to thru a 77 crossmember can be a challange, and you will need to purchase the 74 dual exhaust hanger to make it work. You will probably end up having some rattles from the pipes contacting somewhere in the crossmember. This alignment gets even worse when you try to modify the kit downpipe to fit it to a set of long tube headers.
2) I cured the above problems by fitting an aftermarket crossmember from Bowtie Overdrives, that allows the entire system to fit under the crossmember while giving enough ground clearance. The benefit of this approach is that it allows you to drop the entire exhaust system, from front to back, and work on whatever you need.
If you decide to go through the stock crossmember, I would recommend that you have your exhaust custom made, and not try to use some kit.
I have a 77 with long tube headers. I got a 2.5 aluminized exhaust kit from Mid America, for a 74. I had a shop make up pipes from the collectors to the kit pipes. I'm using the stock crossmember. I also got the dual exhaust pipe mounting bracket from Mid America to replace the single pipe bracket. There are no rattles in my system at all.
I have a 77 that I put headers to dual 3" pipes all the way to the rear to a X pipe then duals out the back, I had it all custom made at a local shop in NC with Magnaflow mufflers and it ended up costing $750 for everything. ( I bought the headers and installed them myself before dropping the car off at the shop, so add that cost in also. )
