Falls Flat after 65MPH
If at 65mph which is close enough to 60 mph for simplicty of the math and that's where it starts having problems then it could be computed how much fuel the engine should require at that speed.
If your doing 60 mph that is one mile per minute.
Then if you get 10 mpg that is one gallon of fuel every ten minutes.
So given that info run the engine for one minute at cruising rpm and you pump should produce 1/10 of a gallon or just short of a pint.
If you get 20 mpg then it'll be half that amount (little less than 1/2 pint) and at 15 mpg in between those two etc.
You'll need to pull off the fuel line and run it to a container via a rubber hose or something and have an alternate supply for the carb. Just gravity should be able to supply the engine well enough for the one minute. worth a shot.
This is assuming that the problem is not related to the opening of the secondaries and this is all done running on the primary side of the carb.
