Sperry 74,..try calling back down to Ecklers on Monday on their toll free line and ask for a guy by the name of John Kinast, ext 478. He's their chief huncho of customer service. I had an issue with one of their other sales people last week so I called him and he got it squared away pronto. I'm sure he'll find out what's going on with your L 88 hood order. :chevy Save The Wave!!!

Split is right -- give John a call and I'll betcha he'll take care of you. Don't know who you talked to before but sales associates don't always have access to all the info. Yeh, orders do get screwed up sometimes but my experience has show they *will* do the best they can to fix it for you.

I disagree!! Ecklers has always been good with me. They also seem to have everything in stock, which you can not say about many other vendors, except maybe Zip. Also they have always shipped promptly to me. :flag

I don't care much for ecklers shipping.I ordered a part that cost $56 and the dang freight was almost $40 for over night shipping.Besides the freight being rediculous for less than a pound 3 in sq box, they didnt ship it same day and I ordered it about 11 am on may 24th.they didnt ship till the 28th.Yeah it was holiday but they could have shipped it the the 24th.Then all the parts didn't fit together when I got them.
I will think twice about ordering from them again.

I disagree as well. I have ordered quite a few parts from them and have never had a single problem. I will be ordering this same hood from them in the future.

Alwyn678 -- Brilliant comment.

all smiles 81 -- You blame Eckler's for the high cost of overnight shipping? They only charge $3.95 additional handling for express service which I think is darn reasonable. Any extra fees go to the shipper. Bitch at FedEx/UPS/USPS, not Ecklers. And c'mon... ordering anything on the Friday before a 3-day weekend is just begging for delays!

Black&Silver78Pace -- I agree it never hurts to check elsewhere for lower prices. But I have made use of their low price guarantee before and ya know what, it works!

well after 5 emails and they were still asking for my address :mad .i called them i told them the whole story again and they said they had my order but they didnt know why it wasnt sent after being on hold for 10 min they said they would call me back which they never did so i called them.they told me they would send it as soon as they could but it was on back order.i asked how long would it be and they said they make them but they are not sure they would call me back :mad im not holding my breath .i guess they dont want my bussiness.they didnt even offer to cut me a break on shipping which would seem like the thing to do since they screwed it all up.i told them i was going to post my bad experience with them on here and they didnt seem like they cared they must not know how many vette owners are on here.i will get my other stuff elsewhere in the future!!ecklers does suk!

You have to be patient.....
It took me two month until I got an answer from them concerning my damaged set foam!
Now they promised to ship the whole order once again for no charge at all, and I´m talking about a shipment to Austria/Europe, so this was just a nice move from them. Most other companies would have given me a discount....
Another thing that happened to me is that they sent me the wrong front spoiler. Received to one for 69 til 72 or so, I own a 76.
Because I received it broken,(wasn´t a fault from ecklers, they cracked it during UPS shipment), I got my money back including shipping costs from the ecklers insureance.
So, after all,
Ecklers is OK.
Sometimes they screw an order up, but at the end they are fair to their customers.
Although I have to admit that I get tired of all this things.

A word of advice to all. Do not order parts from any catalog over the internet. Call their 800 number and ask a living person if the parts you are looking for are in stock. This way you will not be disapointed when some of your parts arrive and find out others are backordered. If you find a vender does not have a part in stock, you can call around to the other venders until you find one that does.
Also I do not think it is wise to bash Ecklers, who is one of the Forums supporting venders. Without companies like them, you would not be reading this today. :flag

I,ve ordered from them many times without problems. They even exchanged a bad compressor that they sold me without delay or interogation.
I think maybe they slipped with thier customer service in your case and that will damage them in some peoples eyes. Thier prices sometimes seem high but they usually have items in stock. Thank God they exist. When I need a part fast I have an excuse to drive down to them and go to the beach that day .

I've never had any trouble out of Eckler's. And I agree that they usually have everything in stock. They also have the low price guarantee thing that Hutch mentioned. I have ordered stuff from every vendor, and Ecklers is one of the best IMO. For example, I ordered some stuff from Corvette Central two weeks ago, and their shipping is awesome. But, three of things I ordered were back ordered (unlike Ecklers). I receieved two of the BO items yesterday, and am just waiting on one more. Not bad. The only vendor that has ever really messed up my order was TLD, and after one simple call, they made everything right :jester
