Default Critical Frame Dimension needed...

Does anyone have frame specs that show the correct measurements for the lower control arm front and rear bolt CL's to CL's?

Before anyone one recommends just using search, BTDT, and it appears no prior request has yielded the info either. Also, this spec isn't in any of my AIM's, nor service manuals. Tho any help is appreciated, I'm only looking for solid data references. TIA

The front and rear measurements should be the same...
my right lower control arm bracket was re-welded in the rear by bubba, they welded it crooked. I could really tell how far off it was by the ridiculous amount of shims on the upper control arm! not to mention the horribly sloppy welding job on both sides. lol!

I'm in the process of fixing it now before I get the frame sandblasted.

Find a local body or frame shop that has preferably an older frame machine.
They (usually original owners) have or have access to all those dimensions and are not usually supplied by the car manufacturers.

Default control arm frame dimensions

I went through this about a year ago and could not find this information.
Every C3 owner will need it at some point.
It should be readily available but is not.

I have no solid data to give.

But 16" front and 16 1/8" rear Cl to Cl.
This is from my memory of a year ago.
Confermed by Dick Guldstrands memory without dimensions.
That they are not parallel.

If you find the frame specs on these dimensions please share.

I took measurements of this several years ago. I came up with 16" on center, front and rear.

In post 7 I don't remember what the pics were of, I think hooking the brackets, not the bolts. But we went with the 16" figure.
