While I had my dash apart on my 69 I found that the bracket that the trip reset cable mounts to had two other unused holes. Any idea's what might have gone there?
Hi ssc,
On my 71 the bracket has 4 holes; the driver's side courtesy light is in the largest of the holes, the re-set in one, and the third and fourth holes are unused.
Regards,
Alan
Using Alan's picture in '68 and '69 the opening next to the reset **** would have been used for the optional speed-warning ****. I'm not sure about the 4th opening.
Hi AF,
What you're seeing are the overrides for the wipers and headlight doors and the wiper motor control, which are directly below the steering column, and also the bracket for the trip odometer reset and courtesy light which is a separate bracket to the left near the hood release handle.
Sounds like you're o.k.
Regards,
Alan
