car pulling to left after new rear spring install
i noticed my vette pulling a bit to the left after i installed a new twr rear spring yesterday..is there a reason this may have happened? anyway to remedy or do i have to get an alignement from an auto shop..can one allign a car them selves?

When you changed your spring, you probably changed the ride height, and the left/right "balance" (when the spring gets tired, most cars will lean a little toward the driver's side - because that's the most used). When that changes because the new spring is the same on both sides, it changes your alignment.
Can you do an alignment at home? Yes, but you better know what you're doing. If you have to ask, you should take it to somebody that knows how to do alignments. :yesnod:

Replacing the spring can easily cause loss of alignment. It doesn't have to, but I'd assume your mechanic just took it all apart, put in the new spring and put it all back together without any thought for maintaining the alignment. Just find a GOOD Corvette shop and have it all realigned, (4 wheel) should fix the problem (or identify where the spring wasn't installed correctly).

As already said, when you installed the new spring you more than likely changed the ride height. The Corvette IRS is very sensitive to suspension member change and thus will change toe and camber throughout suspension travel. This is probably all that has happened. I like to mark my outer spring bolts as to where the nut was sitting so I can easily retain alignment settings.
