Default C3 ignition & door lock keys

Did the C3's come with a square key for the ignition and a round key for the door locks or did they have a square key for both? I have been looking at new door locks and I found a set with round keys, a set with square keys and another set with an ignition lock and a square key that operates all three. Which set is correct?

Can't speak for ALL C3's, however, I can say with confidence that early C3's (chrome bumper) had a square key for doors and ignition/oval key for alarm, glove box and spare tire lock.

Very early ('68 and at least some '69) C3's had yet a separate key (Briggs and Stratton)for the alarm

Hope this helps.

My 75 is a project. The steering column was torn apart and the ignition lock is gone. It didn't come with a key for the doors either. I was looking for door locks for it and found all kinds of things...lol. I guess it's a "to each their own" thing.

I worked for GM dealership and used to cut keys.
69 and up when they went to column ignition lock they used a
square for the ignition. The round is trunk/glovebox,spare tire carrier,
doors.
My 68 uses a Briggs & Stratton hex head for the doors and ignition.
A round lolipop head key for the spare tire tub lock and glove box
behind my seat.
There were different key blanks so no to duplicate so often.
A,C,E,G was ignition.
B,D,F,H were door/trunk key blanks.
There was a 5 digit key code used to cut the blanks to each vehicle.
If you walked around a parking lot back in the day with a say B cut blank you may very well find it opens some one elses car.
Just info we were told in the day
Hope this helped.

In 1970 ignition (square) does the doors as well. Round does spare tire and center compartment behind the seats.
