Need a new ignition coil for a regular points setup.
Echlin lists several different models, anyone have a part number they've had good results with? Does it matter? Chances are good it'll be whatever my local NAPA can get in a decent time frame but might as well try and see if there's a preferred one
ECH IC12
ECH IC676
ECH IC1600
If you go to www.napaonline.com and punch in your car you will see the differences in the coils you listed. Forinstance the IC1600 is a chrome coil for high performance applications and the IC12 is a black coil for points style, etc.
That's where I got the numbers (or some version of Napa)
Just wondering if anyone would do the normal "I had one of those ECxxxx and it melted after 2 hours, worse POS ever. Get the ECxxx..."
Type of thing
I'll likely try to get the basic black IC12.
Thanks
Mooser
