I've got a mildly built (~400hp) 383 going into my 1971.
I'd like to use the stock fuel lines (supply and return) and was thinking of using this AC Delco 41240 Fuel Pump ... available from Summit (and others). Problem is, I can't find any spec's on it.
Will this pump be up to the task, or do I need to look for a higher volume pump (Edelbrock 1721 or similar)?
The Eddy 1721 does not have an outlet for the return line. I'm running with an Eddy 650 auto choke carb and I put on a stock fuel filter and have had no problems.
If you really want an Eddy 1721 fuel pump brand new, PM me, I'm not going to use mine. Good luck.
your carb. only needs 7psi, roughly to feed it, when you get into constant higher rpm usage, you'll want more volume to keep it full, I like matching pumps to carbs. needs and intended useage. after that it become a personal choice
