that will go flat at 4K rpm... maybe 45??....depending on the heads... what are the heads??? someone makes them...??
If it can make that tq... if... I would bet more like 400.... lets just say 400...for the following..
hp=(tq X rpm)/5252 (400 X 4500)/5252=343hp
lets do the 430 tq 430X4500 /5252=368hp.... hmmmm
lets say he keeps the tq to 5000
430X5000 /5252= 409hp
430X5200 /5252= 425hp
went to Camquest at comp cams, they have this cam #12-212-2 same specs, ran the app came back with tq at 392 and hp at 375..... I put in performance heads,
i dont know... but I do hope you get it... hp is fun:-)

He has cast iron GM heads and the cam specs are slightly different.
Probably a reliable motor but I think the HP/TQ specs are still optimistic...
Second swap... 02 LS1 with 224 cam... RPM manifold and holley 680 AED DP Carb... MSD computer. I purchased the motor used for 1500 just longblock - it bolts to the fatory TH350 need custom motor mounts and new tranny custom mount... stuck with C5 manifolds at first. Car did 12.3 all day... ran nice and cool (no sweaty feet).
Added headers and changed heads... 12.0 all day.
Blew the motor...
in the garage (no rev limiter)
Purchased a LS3 bottom end built by TEXAS SPEED. used same CAT Heads and upgraded the VIC JR intake... same headers. BLEW THE TH350 so after... had to get a TH400

CAR Runs High 10s... on street tires (mickeys) with factory 3.36 rear gears... I have driven a 100+ miles on a road trip with a bunch of corvettes... never an issue. motor has been in the car almost 3 years now. about 8k miles... KICKS ***.
BTW that 383 does not have a Chance against a LSX - Welcome to the modern world with a CARB!

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
230@050 cam shoud spin up hard to 5500 at least prob 6k
Wondering the if the heads/intake are holding it back. A good curve on the dist can do wonders. Car should move fairly well if all was right.
Dont need an LSx to go fast.
