not familiar with anyone who restores the original, but I would assume that you would know that replacements are out there and look exactly like your original. just replaced the EGR on the 82, other than being new and shinny, you wouldn't know.....

Can anyone tell me if I can use use a 454 EGR valve on a L82/350. I have read that the 190HP EGR valve is not compatable with the L82.I can find replacement EGR valves for both the 190 HP/350 & 270HP/454 But not the
L82. All help is appreciated.

If you don't need EGR, delete it. Use a block-off plate.
If you want the appearance of EGR, but don't need the function, use a block-off plate, and put the EGR valve on top, perhaps with slightly longer bolts.
If you want better answers to your question, consider starting a new thread with your question as the subject, rather than adding to an old thread.
