Poor Bubba, if he only realized he could balance the car better by putting the battery in the other box.... and the cable is easier... ah well, he wouldn't be the Bubba we all know and love if he did otherwise

stay inside the area where the battery box is to go across the tunnel, then come out and go under the car. Use lots of cable holders - the ones with a bolt and nut.
Alternatively, under your carpet on the passenger side. In lots of cars with the battery relocated to the trunk, the recommendation is go into the cabin then through the toe kick.
