and is Borg-Warner trans really that bad?
The crossover year for Covettes was 74. They could come with either an Muncie or a Borg Warner. After 74, all C3 manual trans were Borg Warner Super T-10's. They are a good transmission and have a lot of choices for gear sets. They were also used in Fords and AMC products for many years. The early Borg Warners (pre 1965) were a little weak but there is nothing wrong strength wise with a Super T-10.
