I am not happy with the pump on my engine. I bought a jegs mechanical for my 350. The motor has around 450 horse. I usually use an electric on all my performance engine but decided on a mechanical. I am now having second thoughts about it.
So I don't know if I should dump the mechanical and get an electric.
No fuel issues at all. Matter of fact haven't even started the motor yet.
I just never used a mechanical pump on any performance engine I have had.Just looking for ideas. The jegs pump has the fuel inlets in the wrong spot even thought you can move it around and the inlets are 1/4 npt.
The stock pump will support a pretty big HP engine. For ease of installation and minimum headache, that would be the way to go. Electric pump will probably need a regulator, wiring and an oil pressure switch.
