Could be the u joints, the e brake could be dragging the shoes on the inner brake drum, also your rear end maybe low on lube or tired. Your are going to have to jack the car up w/ both wheels off the ground. Spinning the wheels by hand out of gear, should help to duplicate your noise. The e brake cable maybe too loose or the shoes may need adjusting. Check the lube level to eliminate that possiblity. I personal had the same issue and these tasks helped me out.

thanks for the tips, i thought these vettes all had rear disk breaks.
I have the same issue as of yesterday. from a stop or when im just about to come to a stop i get a clunking noise. every one or two seconds in frequency until i hit maybe 10 mph. then it goes away. I just bled the brakes and i'm wondering if maybe the the brakes are sticking or if there is something more serious going on. ill try your suggestions and see what i see.
If you make SLOW figure 8's ,do you have the clicking in rear?
If you do, try changing the fluid in rear..pump out old, replace with 1
bottle of GM posi-fluid first then top off to bottom of fill plug with
gear oil.
thanks for the advice, I have only had the car about a month so im not sure the last time the fluid was changed. I will start here and see what happens. thanks,
Corey
