Keep it clean wiring harness
I'm about to make some big changes to my car. Going FI this winter and alot of new electricity will be added to make it work, new gauges etc. My current stock wiring harness is a huge mess, when I get one thing working another one stops and it sometimes seems hopeless.
I'm a bit scared of building the FI on top of this mess and thinking about changing the 40 year old harness. A new full set is about $1300 from painless and that's a pretty huge cost for me atm.
Have been looking a bit on Keep it clean wiring harness. The price is unbeatable but usually you get exactly what you pay for and that's what worries me. Has anyone bought/installed one of these?

Don't mind not having factory looks or reusing some of my old pigtails but want it to work good and need everything to be there labeled and understandable.
Anyone? All info appreciated.

I used one these harnesses everything matched up perfect
I ordered the Keep it clean harness. Its complete and should have all the wires for the car labeled and ready + fuse and relay panel. But you will need to reuse most of the factory connectors/make new onces and it's not exactly factory looking. The fuse panel uses newer fuses and relays. I think this might actually be better for me as I'm going to modify it alot for the new engine and trans and don't need the exact OE replica. The cost is very resonable, $375.
Will get it home by the end of october and will install it during winter. Will be back with info, photos etc.
this may help, there are other sites like it, I used them for my C4

Can you put the fuse box in a different place ? I can't stand contorting myself to replace one stinking fuse

I fit the fusebox on the stock location and even though it doesn't look exactly the same it fits nicely but you need a grommet behind it to cover the old larger hole in the firewall. It could be fittet elsewhere is desired. The wires are long enough to reach from most places under dash.
The wiring is not designet for corvette specifically and there is some work to be done to make it fit but after som thinking and a little bit of soldering it does fit very nicely. The connectors for the steering column are included (3 connectors) and correct but the rest of the connectors need to be reused from the old harness or just use new single wire connectors. There is no wiper wiring for the corvette and therefor this has to be added by yourself (easy fix).
The harness have a pretty decent amount of good things like accesories and so and the modern style fuses are great. Can't say anything bad about the quality and every wire except the wiper control is there (no ground at all is included) + a few extras. It handles an electric fuel pump and so on.
If your doing an all original restoration this is not the harness for you but if you, like me are conducting an LS-swap or something else cutom and want to change the wiring this is a good harness at a fantastic price. Instructions are included, not great but very understandable.
Glad to answer any questions you might have about the harness.

Put all the new wires into a wire tube, taped it so that nothing could escape/get into it and attatched it to the old cut harness, then just pulled the old harness out of the car and the tube with all the new wires followed smothly into place. That way I got it all neatly in a tube and didn't have to remove any upholstery.
Best Regards
