I've got Flowtechs on mine right now (put on by previous owner) running through the crossmember with the Magnaflow 2 1/2" big block manifold back system. The pipes meant to go from the x-pipe to the manifolds was the perfect offset, just had to cut to length, and mandrel bent, so not really losing anything.

Leave it to me to muddy the waters even a little more...

What about stock '89 corvette L98 Exhaust Manifolds? I have a set sitting in my garage for free. They're stainless steel, look to have about 1 1/2" primary tubes, and a 2 1/4" collectors. Clearly they're not gonna out flow a nice set of long tubes and they require a little work to ditch the smog tubes, but doesn't this sound like a decent shorty solution for a mile SB, following the Sanderson model?

Were these the ceramic coated and over time rust got to them or were these the non-coated ones?

How do they fit? Was installation a straight bolt on?

Thanks
