Default heater control for 78/no ac

Does anyone know exactly what connects to the slider control on the panel marked
"VENT HEATER OFF" in a 78 Vette without AC ? Previous owner "installed" a radio/cd player, and butchered all the wiring and did not re-install the control lines for the heater!! Now the heat is on all the time, and there is nothing connected to that slider bar.

I believe it's a bowden cable connected from the lever to the selector door. Do you have the assembly instruction manual (AIM)? The AIM shows the installation.

The 78 chassis manual shows it also on page 1a26. This is from the AIM if it helps.

Thanks again, Jai
