69 alternator extremely hot
Looking for some help. The alternator on my 69 runs extremely hot. Voltage guage shows about 15 volts for a while and then at times fluctuates wildly. I swapped alternators from another car, same issue. Any thoughts? Thanks,

Bad battery with a dead cell. You are pumping max current into that battery and it never will charge up.
