rear date code?
Just want to clarify the date codes. If I am correct the stamped date code for early rears is, day month year and later rears are just day of the year. At what point/year did it change?
for example: AO 5 21 65 = 3.70 may 21 1965
AB 265 E1 = 3.70 265th day, Eton posi, shift 1. To find year look at cast date on side of housing and cross reference the axle ratio to cast date. cast date is I103 for September 10th 1973
