I've seen a lot of opinions but truth is - even GM doesn't know which cars came with what.
Any of these 3 setups were used on Corvettes from 1968 thru 1972 :
1. Harrison alum. tank (short & fat)
2. Harrison ? brass tank (long & skinny)
3. No darn stinkin' overflow.....
Several have told me that A/C cars didn't have overflow tanks - but there's no proof that "every" vette with A/C didn't leave the factory that way.
Mine's a 427 A/C vette & it has no overflow bottle..............
Hummm, late 60's early 70's, think they have been some casual drug use going on in the plants? Every see that movie 'Gung Ho' where at the end they where trying to build enough cars to make a quota? Now image GM plants doing the same thing everyday.
