Default Question on Dash Bracking

Was thumbing through the 73 assembly manual and found this sheet:


I guess there was a running change in 73 because my car NEVER had any of these braces. The mounting stud on the cowl was never installed.


Just curious if anyone else noticed the same.

Bingo. Yes, I have a coupe. I did not think about that. I can see a convertible needing more rigidity.

The title block on the AIM page usually shows model specification. Something like 1YA000 means all cars regardless of body style got the installation. Anything showing 67 applies only to convertibles; 37 only to couples.

Here's the same page from the 74 AIM. Note title block. 1YZ67.
