Heads/Headers?
Hi all.
I am prepping a set of Edelbrock Performer RPM heads for my BB '75 with Hooker headers/side pipes. I want to port match them to felpro 1412 (2.13 dia). When i put the gasket up against the head, it looks close to the outer head stud/nut area. Anyone installed Hookers on aluminum Edelbrock heads? Does the flange clear the studs/nuts? How about the spark plugs?
This may have been addressed before but I couldn't find anything.

Dont the instructions that came with the heads state use Felpro 1411?

yes the inst inst says #1411. The fit with the factory port is not that good however. My real question has to do with interference between the header flange and the outer head stud/nuts. Has anyone encountered this issue? Did you end up grinding the header flange to clear?
