Quick radiator repair?
If you have a leak in the radiator, is there a quick way to fix just to be able to drive it to get it to a place that can fix it? I see the stuff at the parts stores like that looks like crap when you put it in, is that stuff ok to use to get the car home, or does it hurt the car?

Bars leak and others will work but you have to remember it's circulating thru the engine and will be there to some extent forever. In my daily beater/driver wouldn't bother me much but I'd avoid it unless absolutely neccessary. If just getting there is your goal extra water, slow drive with a few stops. Not sure what year you have but to pull the radiator is a 3 out of 10 in difficulty with 10 being the heater core with A/C :lol:

Bars Leak MAY help for a short time. I had a leak in the core/header joint on my S10 last winter. The Bars Leak lasted about 100 miles before it started to leak again.

This is a little off topic but true, I hit a rock in my 83 CJ7 in the boonys and bent two fan blades which took out a few rows in my rad. I pinched them with vice grips and put pepper in the rad. and water, I drove 150miles back home no leaks :smash:
