To anyone w/ a dual plane also called a 180 intake not on the car.
BB & SB.
Would you like to measure the cc fluid volume of each side (half) of the intake manifold?
It would be good to have several measure each of the intakes.
To P, do not think you should post your Performer results yet.
There was evidently at least 1 change in the Performer so it would be good to have several measure. First several years evidently were smaller.
Have been thinking of doing this topic for some time & several will know as soon as they see it. This topic is meant to be informative & help the guys as are most of my topics. Sure that would be good info. for you to post for the guys!
There are two sides, one "low side" which has smaller runners, and one "high side" that has larger runners. I flowed them on my bench bare, with no cylinder head.
Low side - 238CFM @28" H2O
High side - 278CFM @28" H2O
If anyone in the Houston area has a different intake they'd like to flow, you're welcome to bring it by for us to flow..
Ganey,
I'm not going to post my results until I've seen a few others! Didn't have a burette (& won't have after seeing the price  ) so used a kitchen measuring jug!!! Therefore actual volume stated could well have a large error depending on accuracy of measuring jug. All I can state is that both sides of the manifold had the same volume.
Additionally, if the Performer design has changed then I couldn't say what it's age was, as it could have been sitting on a shelf for years b4 I bought it.
Ken
that is a real eye opener
might help explain why i had to stagger jet my 2101 much more than my 8004.
Ganey, Plenum volumes have huge variations; would have to measure cc's of each runner, head side to plenum entrance. on my 8004 i found 2 runners that were too small due to casting shift; an hour with a grinder evened them up.
i did not cc, just measured size, fixing tight areas.
I have an original Torquer that I could also get you the results for, but will be able to do that only for another few days. Only because some have posted here before about a comparison with the Performer and original Torquer, not Torquer II.
