  Bob, I can imagine what you must come back with...... "no really - they are just junk parks for my Kingswood"......"oh - I thought we could bring back 4 litres of alcohol!" ;)
What's wrong with that line.? if bob has the kids with him he sould be able to get away with a crate......anyway,bob just has to explain to them that he is a big THIRSTY aussie and(given his size)they will believe him....john :chevy
John and Chris....Nice thoughts there guys, but my wife is the only one who drinks spirits in this family.( I'm a beer and wine drunk myself)....except for my 19 y/o son who'll try anything twice.
Plus I'm going there on my own (again) in August. All I have to do with anything I bring back is tell customs that they're marine parts.......instant duty free!
I'm ordering some Hooker side mount extractors this week actually. Should look and sound the part then.
Just a guess as I have not seen the detailed specs on either car, but the horsepower difference is probably due to exhaust. If the 69 has the stock 2" exhaust pipes and the 70 has the 2.5" pipes, the 70 has about 50% more pipe area.
If both are running the same 11:1 compression and the same spec cam as would be stock, the extra 27 cubes should make up about half the difference alone. I also bet the carbs didn't open all the way on the tri-power. Tuneup will also make a huge difference as I found to my own dismay a couple of weeks ago.
I just attended a dyno day last week. The 02 Z06s were pulling 360-370 RWHP (STD) and my 01 C5 pulled 316 RWHP and 335 RWTQ. My ol 68 ZZ3-equipped vert (along with headers and Dynomax SuperTurbos) checked in at 290 RWHP. We paid $30 for two runs - not a bad deal at all.
