Default Where to get proper idle adjustment screws

I popped the factory plugs off of my quadrajet to access the idle adjustment screws. I'd like to replace the factory adjustment screws with a slotted screws. Does anyone know where to get them? It appears that they don't come with rebuild kits.

Your best bet are Lars on this forum or Cliff Ruggles. Both can set you up with parts or rebuild to suit your needs.

Why don't you just buy the right tool to use the stock screws?

I have 3 quadrajets, just switched to one with the slotted screw fittings. Behind the slotted screw is a 1/4" hex-shaft. I actually use a flexible tool I bought at kragen/O'Reilly that has a 1/4" hex-drive, much easier than using a screwdriver, especially since my car has A.I.R.. The passenger side idle adjustment is difficult to hit with the heater hose, AIR pump/lines, and the fuel line all in the immediate viscinity.

The later QJets (79+) either have a metrix hex or a DD head. The Thexton 350 tool works well for this.

I didn't know there was one. I have an 1980 (17080204 0570) Quadrajet. Can you suggest where I can get the correct tool?

Disregard. I just reread Shark Racers' post and Googled the Thexton 350. Thanks everyone.

You can buy the tool at any NAPA store for just a few bucks.
