Default desktop dyno question

I was just messing with different timing settings and basically desktop dyno is giving me more hp and torque when I bring the timing down from 14 to 0. My eng is pretty much stock except I have an edelbrock intake, cam, and headers. My engine hates any timing below ten degrees beforetop dead center. do you guys think desktop dino is correct as far as timing issue? lou

Timing?
Are you sure that you're not looking at CAM TIMING?

That timing number is the camshaft timing, not the ignition timing. It should be set at zero. This is explained in pages 57 & 58 of the manual. Click on Help, then User Manual.
