Default Winter time projects ... love it!

Started on the winter front end project. last 2 years we have rebut EVERYTHING but the poor excuse for the front bumper. Well I acquired a NOS rubber bumper and sent it off for painting! Tossed the fiberglass splintered one in the trash! While it is out, we redid all the support members under the bumper. Sanded & painted and straightened out the wire mess. The PO was *not so neat*. Decided to look into what could be done with the lights. I debated to go with the fixed light trays or keep what I had UNTIL I found a nice compromise. I found someone that was selling the Ecklers square light kit! So It begins .... Actually very simple to install with a little cutting and grinding ....

Pictures to follow ..

Ok, here are some pictures of the project so far.....

The front end all apart ... bumper in the paint shop.

Now a neat install, before a MESS!

Light flap... ready for mods... The other one is fitted and finished.

I like the look! AND the halogens!

Simple cutting of the stand-offs and opening up the recess hole a bit.

MANY parts from Zip & CC to add to the front end. Santa is here!

SQUARE Bezels!

My wife is a saint! 3 car garage and all Vette! Bay 3 with parts drying and in queue to go on. This uses to be where her car went! That was 2 years ago. :-)

The Vette is sideways in bay 2 and part of bay 3. Needed walk-around room.

Bay 1 is for the tools and such.

Man Cave at it's best!

Almost finished with the fabrication to get the Ecklers square light assemblies functioning. Even though they tell you what to do, you still need to fabricate, fit, grind, etc to get it to work. I would, however, recommend that you purchase that kit if you were ever thinking of the square light conversion. I have seen very rough kits out there. The new bezels are great and fit quote well! Here are some additional photos:
Brackets on....

test fit to see if grinding worked.

Square standoff that was cut is going to hit the light!

Front looks good.

Ground down the standoffs more

Bezel fits well and looks good!

Rear fit. Now for the other side.
