I'm contemplating doing what I said that I'd never do. I have access to a very inexpensive set of aluminum SBC heads with 64cc chamber size. I'm fairly sure that the crappy crate engine that's in there has low compression, smog heads. Because I'm not going to have time to change the engine any time soon, I thought to change the heads and cam that's in there to make the car a little more enjoyable to drive. Problem is, I can't find the following casting numbers anywhere.
The heads are made in Mexico, so they must be good:
Note that all the 6s, 9s and 8s look pretty much the same.
Casting number is close to: 83417988
Also: 167
92
Anyone have an idea?
Figure that I could change the heads and cam in a few hours in my driveway. Rad needs to come out to solder the outlet anyways.
