Default engine fan removal

when i was cleaning my vette today i noticed that the fan was looking kinda dingy..was thinking it would look cool painted orange/red that i used on my calipers or a fresh coat of black at least..is it possilbe to pull of the fan without talking out the fan shroud and other parts..what bolts are needed to remove for removal? is it pretty striaght forward?

The fan is easy. You can have it out in a matter of minutes. There are four bolts holding it in place. Mine is real easy because I currently don't have A/C or PS installed. But even with, it's not that hard.

Anyway, remove the bolts, and the pulley will get real loose. Pull the whole thing out, remove the fan, gussy it up. Do the pulley while you're at it. I soaked my pulley and then took a wire wheel to it. Then I painted the fan. I don't know how it will all look, as everything (the engine) is currently out of the car. But I'm sure there will be a huge improvement.

Good luck.
