Default Help with coil wires

Finally getting my 71 lt1 ready to run for the first time in 6 years. Many wires were spliced but am confused on which wires go to coil and resistor. Can't find one with power when the key is in the on position. Also, where was the resistor mounted. Mine was just hanging. Any pics? Thanks

The resistor is intregal to the harness- built into it. And it's just a wire.
There should be 2 wires that go to the + side of the coil. One is from the starter and the other is that resistance wire. Yellow from the starter, and red/white/black is the resistor wire..
This might help:

Default Thanks but one more question

Thanks for the help. So many wires were spliced into over the years. I have a wire near the starter that is always hot. Does that get connected to the starter? The resistor wire that should go to the coil has no power. Even with the key on. Thinking maybe this is why.
