Electric fuel pump - 82?

Electric fuel pump - 82?
Is there any reason NOT to use an 82 fuel sender w/electric pump in my 78 tank?
At a frame off right now with the intentions of a 383 stroker with weiand 142 blower. Consistent fuel pressure is a must with the blower, and I think electric is the way to go. In the tank would be quieter and less fabing up of an external mount.
From what I find they run at 12psi, which I can regulate to 6psi.
Found an entire sending unit for pretty cheap. I could get any pump to go with it.
