Default Console light
1968-all the console lights are plastic with metal clips. Im assuming the pictured metal socket light was added by a PO and could be used in any console light location. thanks

The wire looks grey.. so yes.. that is the interior lamps section.. and the bulb will fit in any of the lamp holes.

Assuming that it's the same size bulb as the others and on a 'gray' wire, yes.

Probably cluster illumination, but doesn't look long enough for console use. HVAC controls and lighter illumination about the only things under the console.
