Default Crane, MSD box compatible with distributor?

Would like to use some type of MSD or Crane msd box with my setup to have a rev limiter. My distributor is the original style, converted with the Pertronix unit. Is this possible or do I need to buy the complete set up?

I am runnig a Crane HI6 in my car with a set of heavy duty points to trigger the box. There is no current going through the points so they should last a long long time. I had a Pertronix in the car but it did not work well wit hthe box. They said it would but never did. I take mine to 7000 rpm a lot and it never misses a beat. Also wit hthe Crane unit there are no chips for the rev limiter, there are rotary dials instead. It is a very easy setup and I am also running a shift light for racing.

I know the MSD ignitions can be wired to a stock dist. Mine was but i bought a MSD Pro Billet after looking at the guts of my old one. Might be rebuildable but now no need to worry.
