Got the Shifter mounted and everything on top looks good. Notched the tunnel area and dropped the shifter 1 3/4 to make it clear the console plate. Need to make a couple more brackets to stiffen the side movement and cut a notch for the shifter cable. Once I verify the rest of clearance will make the permanent brackets and seal the bottom tunnel area.

I made the final bracket today and got the tunnel cut out so everything will clear. Shifter fits and is solid. Still need to make a sheet metal guard to wrap around the bracket and rivet to the tunnel and insulate.Will test fit transmssion for final clearance but according to my measurements I should have about 1/2 to 3/4" clearance.
Going to the salvage yard sometime and find a shifter cover I can adapt. Need to figure out the neutral safety switch and the back up light switch and get those plugs wired.
Made a cover plate for the shifter. Just a prototype but think this will work out. Got some ABS material and cut to fit the opening, will work up the slot and gear indicator.

Planning on laying some fiberglass material to fill all the gaps from the top of the tunnel.
Transmission in place and shifter cable mounted.
