Default Rebuilding the window track.

Is there anywhere that you can buy the part to rebuild the power window track. I just cant see spending ~ $200 for this thing.
Thanks!

You must be talking about the window regulator? You can get the parts to rebuild that from all of the major Corvette parts places. I got mine from Rik's. I put on a new spring, gear, and rollers. What is wrong with yours?

I think the rollers are shot. The window is loose. It works, but when the window is say 1/2 way down, there is a lot of play in(toward inside of car) and out(toward outside of car. Everything seems to be tightened down, and I really can't see the roller/bearings.
Thanks!

I went to my local Vette supply shop and got a bunch of rollers. Not cheap at about $10 each, but not too hard to install. You drill out the old ones and use a ball peen hammer to install. Make sure you have the end of the shaft supported when you peen the end otherwise you'll damage the new bearings. Also be careful to install them the same side out. It gets confusing when they are all apart and you try to figure which side of the track the bearing is supposed to stick out.
