Default 1972 corvette radio
I have a 1972 coupe with reg am/fm--I see a speaker behind pass side kick panel, could this be right? I thought speakers where under dash pad.

Speakers for a 72 are in the dash panel. In my 69 they are in the kick panel.

I have added kickpanel speakers to my '71 (along with the dash speakers). Lots of folks have done the same thing over the years. The '68-69's originally were built with kickpanels speakers, but none in the dash; so there were natural "homes" for bigger speakers already in place.

Not stock, but no harm done. The 68 and 69 factory speakers were mounted there and you have the same room on your car.
